CATEGORY RULES:

“All Rules Subject to Change”

Fish will be measured by LENGTH FIRST. Weight will be used as a Tie-Breaker (IF NEEDED). If ties after length & weight, then “TIME” will be used as a Tie-Breaker.

Red Fish Category: No Red Fish over 28 inches Red Fish/Most Spots Categories: The Same Fish CANNOT be used for the two categories. One Fish per category. Example: 1 Fish for Red + 1 Fish for Most Spots = 2 Fishes!!!

Trout Fish Category: Biggest “Length” Trout Wins: No Trout over 23 inches

Flounder Fish Category: Biggest “Length” Flounder Wins: No Flounder less than 15 inches

Weigh-ins will be from 1pm – 3pm (boats must be in line no later than 3pm) \Weigh Master has Final Word (GAMEWARDEN)

No Overnight Fishing/Only Fishing during Tournament hours counts: 6am – 3pm

Captain must present “Boat Plaque” at weigh-ins. (Boat Plaques will be issued the day of the Mandatory Captain’s Meeting: Boats may launch from their choice of pier/dock)

All boats must check in and be in the same area of the bay in front of Jim’s Pier (SPI) for a “Shotgun Start”

Captain’s Pot - 3 Categories: Pick & Choose or ALL THREE! !! (1)Red Fish: Biggest “ Length” Red (2)Trout: Biggest “ Length” Trout (3)Most Spots on a Red- Winner Takes All. ( Voluntary Category : $50 per category)

 Must be registered & paid by the DEADLINE: April 1, 2024, to be eligible for the prize. (Late entries will be charged a LATE ENTRY FEE: $50 per Boat)

Open to all participants: LEOs & Non-LEOs Two Fishing Divisions: “GUIDED & NON-GUIDED”, call for more information/questions.

All Proceeds go to the RGV Centennial Gala Committee
